FAZ should make Kalusha Bwalya Zambia’s football brand ambassador so that he can help market the country, says Keegan Chipango.
In his continued campaign for effective reconciliation between FAZ president Andrew Kamanga, Bwalya and government, Chipango, a former FAZ committee member, said currently Zambia’s football fraternity is divided.
“FAZ councilors just want a responsible and uniting leadership. So, I call on FAZ to give Kalusha Bwalya something to do, let them honour him for his having helped propel Zambia’s football to higher heights worldwide,” Chipango said. “He can even be made our brand ambassador just like [Didier] Drogba and Samuel Eto’o are doing for their countries. We still need Kalu and he can be made to go round to market Zambia’s football image.”
Chipango reiterated his call to Kalusha and Kamanga to reconcile, adding that former football administrators can strongly help to achieve this.
“I for one is ready to help Kalu and Kamanga sit down together and chart a good way forward for Zambia’s football,” said Chipango.
Chipango congratulated FAZ and government for their reconciliation but appealed for the reinstatement of FAZ general secretary in the Zambia police service.
He also urged FAZ to ensure that camps in football administration were eradicated.
