RICHWELL Siamunene says Zambians must rise above pettiness for them to realise their potential to develop the country.
Featuring on a religious programme dubbed Understanding the Bible on Choma Maanu Radio, Siamunene said the country remained poor despite being endowed with natural resources because its citizens were failing to understand the truth from the Bible.
He said as a result people concentrated much on things that were not helping them.
“Zambians must rise above pettiness for them to realise their potential to develop the country. Why do we fight each other when the Bible says love your neighbour as you love yourself? But us here, be it in politics or in churches, it’s to fight over petty issues,” said Siamunene. “The Bible tells us that we serve a God who has everything. But because of pettiness in the doctrines, we are limiting ourselves as Christians from knowing the truth that can help us develop like our friends who brought the Bible to us.”
