Archbishop Chama counsels chief Mwamba to look up to God in his leadership

[By Kelvin Siabana in Kasama]

KASAMA Archbishop Ignatius Chama has advised the newly installed Senior Chief Mwamba of the Bemba speaking people to look up to God in his leadership, not any other alternative such as witchcraft or utilising witch-doctors.

Archbishop Chama said God chose Mwamba to be on the throne to lead the people.

He said Mwamba had a huge task to unite the people in his chiefdom by encouraging them to always look up to God in everything they do for them to be prosperous in their lives.

He said when Mwamba stamps his authority, believing and ruling the people according to the will of God, the chiefdom would be highly blessed.

Archbishop Chama said traditional leaders play a pivotal role in the country.

He said the Church would continue working with traditional leaders in the country in bringing people closer to God.

“I am very happy for Senior Chief Mwamba and his team to dedicate the chiefdom to God so that he can protect it from the evil forces,” Archbishop Chama said.

Luke Kangwa, who was appointed as Senior Chief Mwamba in 2019, was officially installed in the position on July 18, 2021 at his palace.

The installation event was witnessed by Church leaders, government officials, the corporate world, traditional leaders, among others.

Speaking through his representative Luke Mutale, Mwamba urged the government to rehabilitate his palace to acceptable standards befitting his position.
